Well, I got some Decadence in the mail from my Secret Pal. Thanks SP :)

I got 3 skeins in Grape, and its really nice. What to make? I'm inspired to make a sweater or cartigan or something for me! What would you make? Gauge is bulky at 3-3.5 stitches per inch. I want a sweater that has shaping at the least. I'll definetly order more in order to accomodate, but I need a pattern first!

I also got some Shimmer. SO nice. The colourway is Turquoise Splendor, and I have 2 hanks (880 yds) of this laceweight gem. What do I make? Obviously something lacey! Hehe! I never research those types of projects.

I love Shimmer. I have the Flower Garden colorway (I think I remember it correctly), which I bought because I loved a shawl from A Gathering of Lace, but I don't wear shawls so who knows. The Decadence is great too! I think Grape is the best color, since they don't have black and the red seems to be more of a burgundy of which I'm not a fan.

also you could check out the Knitpicks site for what patterns they suggest for both yarns. I love that feature on their site.

Shimmer makes a very nice light weight Clapotis. Two hanks is enough to do one if you use a single strand. My friend just made one in turquoise and it is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Oh, and the Soleil is gorgeous (I did get a few chuckles when I read your crochet struggles.) My buddy Bob, did my crochet for me!
