So it seems like I can't do a 6 stitch repeat. I've frogged 4x now. Last night when I got home I put a little safety line in...it better help.
Lots more lace to do.

Angelina Lace
So, ever notice a bad yarn choice when you are over 50% done a project? Ever try to k3tog on a size 5 with cotton?
Yep. This lace is tiresome.
Now don't get me wrong, its going to be beautiful, but the lack of stretch and fighting with every stitch is pretty painful... physically AND mentally. I go up needle sizes gradually, so hopefully that will help.
Bright side: At least I'm done with the ribbing! Woo hoo!
I ended up cutting off most of the bottom edge...don't use microspun as "waste yarn". Hah. Talk about splitting everywhere! And pick a CONTRASTING colour. No, really. Unless you are insane like myself. Hey, I got all 180 stitches the first try! I consider THAT an accomplishment.

Angelina is coming along!
Its amazing how much you can get do when you can't work from home. I was upgrading my computer last night (yay for Tiger!), and I just knit at my desk!
*gasp*
I think this is going to be funky when its done :)

A fuzzy GREAT idea.
I just had this brilliant idea, after noticing I'm in a bunny-a-long. I'm planning on making fuzzy feet next, as a trial for felting alpaca and to see if they would make good xmas presents for the family.
Hello? Fuzzy feet? Fuzzy BUNNY feet?
Hell yes. I will add ears to these babies and make my own damn bunny slippers!
For those not in the know, I love bunnies and bunny slippers. A lot. a HELL of a lot!
*le sigh*

I never talk about the knitting group I'm in!
That's pretty rude of me huh? Well, every Tuesday I go and knit in Palo Alto with a really fun bunch of people. Its always different too! There are a few regulars, but there is always someone new joining! Sometimes there's kids, sometimes there's not!

(I stole the pic from Hojo...I'm such a bad webbie, MUAHAH)
From a few weeks back, we took up a few tables as opposed to our round favourite. Nice!
Anyway, if you'd ever like to join us (or me in particular, hah), and happen to be nearby, we meet Tuesday evenings 7-9 at The Prolific Oven on Waverly off University in Palo Alto. There's a yahoo group too: Peninsulaknitters.

Its been awhile!
Bless me knitters, for I have sinned. Its been a month since my last posting...here is my work.

I know, it doesn't look like much. I have 3.5 more inches for the sleeves. Its not like I've been knitting everyday either, damn life is getting in the way. Oh well. Its nice to see almost all of the sleeve base done.
Almost.

2x2
Okay, remind me that my next sweater CAN'T be 2x2 ribbing. I treked through Tempting fine, but now Angelina is really really really...dull. I'm sure the lace part is fun, once you get to it.
I wanted it done for June. Now I'm hoping for November. That's pretty sad when its only the end of March and I'm making that prediction.
No pic, since well, it doesn't look that different!
Ugh.

Long time, barely Angelina!
Wow, I haven't updated in a long time. My neice was in town, and I didn't knit for almost 2 weeks! Bad Shannon!
Angelina is taking awhile. Until I took the below photo, I didn't notice that it was starting a pattern. I'm sure it will look cute no matter what. At least its not blobbing.
This is all knit in one piece, and its pretty damn cool. I just started the sleeve bits:

Not much else going on in the knitting world. That whole one knitting project at a time rule is getting really tough! I hope to have time to knit at least this weekend!

Jesters Hat and Baby Booties, with pics!
Jesters Hat: From Knit Baby Head & Toe.
Lionbrand Microspun in Purple, and Lionbrand Baby Soft in Lavender.

I made quite a few mistakes with the M1's. I still think it turned out cute, especially for a baby. The bells are so sweet!
1 Hour Baby Booties: From Stitch and Bitch Nation
Lionbrand Microspun in Purple, and Lionbrand Baby Soft in Lavender.

Yep, they took an hour. I doubled stranded and the first bootie would have fit a doll. I changed up the gauge to get these cuties. They might not fit at the same time the hat does (the hat turned out a bit big), but hey, I finished them up! I knit an icord instead of crochet, and added a bell. Also, the straps are permanent, so you have to slip baby's feetsies in instead of strapping them in. I was tired by the time I came to that.
But what did I do with that extra microspun? I was saving it for a scrap hat or something...

It went to a better cause. Bella (the cat) tried to blame it on Raven (the bunny) but she was in her cage all night. Its ALL over the house. Hehe. Good thing I love her!
Mental note: put the yarn you WANT to keep in the plastic tote, the animals haven't figured out the lid yet.

Jesters Hat and Baby Booties.
I feel like I should post, but I haven't had a chance to snap a pic of my newest works! I finished them this weekend, sheesh!
Anyway, the Jesters hat is finished, and I made some baby booties to match. They are the 1 Hour Baby Booties from Stitch and Bitch Nation. They really ARE quick!
Updates with PHOTOS are promised, maybe tomorrow. I've already started on my Angelina Cartigan!
